It was two years ago when we first introduced Yang-Yang to badminton
players in the United States and throughout the world through our
website. Within the past two years, Yang-Yang badminton equipment
have satisfied badminton players through its quality, low price,
and commitment to fulfill players need. Since the release of Yang-Yang
Tactic 9000, our best selling badminton
racquet for the past 3 years, we have worked with Yang-Yang to further
find the racquet that fits the players criteria. Last year, many
players requested that the Tactic 9000
be improved by providing more weight to the head for more offensive
type of game. We met this need with the release of Yang-Yang Tactic
8500 which was always sold out due to high demand for the first
6 months which become our second best selling racquet. Now, many
advanced players requested that more weight is added to the head
while keeping the same characteristic and balance. Well, Yang-Yang
answered this request with the release of the Tactic 3500.
The Tactic 3500 model is designed for offensive players who want
more control power on their shots. The medium stiff and head-heavy
swingweight create a powerful combination for powerful play. Again,
though it is designed more power play game, the racquet still has
the major characteristics that are loved by many of our customers
and badminton players. It is, again, an easy racquet to adjust.
It is a powerful racquet that still provides excellent control and
fast play. It will not perform as good as Tactic
9000 in drops and fast drives, but it compensates this with
more power for the player on smashes and clears.
First Impression:
We tested three Tactic 3500 racquets. First racquet uses Gosen Tect-Gut-Tour,
second racquet is using Gosen
Roots Aermet, and third racquet is using Yonex
BG-85. All of the racquets are strung at 22 lbs. As soon as
we swing the racquets couple of times, we notice that the Tactic
3500 give us more power, a lot more than the Tactic 8500. Our clears
and smashes feel solid accompanied with a loud "BANG!"
from the sound of the string hitting the shuttlecock. Feeling is
similar to the Tactic 9000 in balance
and control. In the beginning of our tests we need to adjust our
drop shots since the weight of the racquet increases the tendency
to swing the racquet faster and the need of more power and feeling
to move the racquet head to perform delicate drop shots near the
net. The adjustments only take couple of minutes to get used to.
Once we repeat the drills and make ourselves conscious that we are
using a heavier head racquet, we have our touch back.
Good:
More power. Smashes and clears are more solid. Have similar characteristic
of Tactic 9000. Excellent racquet
for power play. An excellent racquet throughout all levels, beginner
to advanced. However, racquet is recommended for intermediate and
advanced players.
Bad:
The Tactic 3500 does not have the excellent control and fast reflex
as the Tactic 9000 or the Tactic
8500 due to the heavy head weight. However, the feeling is still
very good and similar to Tactic 9000.
It just takes time to adjust whereas the Tactic
9000 and Tactic 8500 is very to adjust to.
Conclusion:
Yang-Yang Tactic 3500 is a breakthrough in Yang-Yang badminton line.
This racquet is an excellent racquet for intermediate and advanced/elite
badminton players. The racquet is good for power play. It also has
most of the characteristics that the Tactic
9000 has. We were surprised that it does not change the racquet
drastically. With feeling that is very similar to the Tactic 9000
and an increase in its power and performance, this racquet is superb.
We give this racquet 5 out of 5 © rating and our BA Recommendation.
