Events:       Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles

Flights:        A, B, and “C drop D”. Players are allowed to play a maximum of 2 events per day. Players MUST play with the same partner throughout the tournament.

Format:       All events will consist of a single-elimination format with a consolation round, except where modified due to the size of the draw. 3 games by 15 points format will be used for all matches. IBF rules will be enforced for all matches. Some events might be modified, combined, or cancelled as necessary. Please check website for latest information.

Entries:       $20 for one event, $30 for 2 events, $35 for three events.

Deadline:    Please submit entries by WEDNESDAY AUGUST 21, 2002.  FREE T-SHIRT for all players whose fees and entries are received before 11:59PM on August 14, 2002.

Check or Money Order for payment must accompany the entry form. Entry will not be posted to the draw if no payment is attached/received. No phone-in-entry and late entries are accepted. Entry form is required for each individual player of doubles team.

Draw:           Will be posted Thursday AUGUST 26, 2002.

Times:         Schedule of starting times will be posted at http://www.baopen.com and will be emailed to anyone who submits his/her email address. A Default time of 10 minutes will be enforced for all matches. On-court warm-ups are limited to 5 minutes.

Raffle:          All entries submitted on or before August 21, 2002 are entered in raffle for prizes. A winner will be drawn from two groups and posted on www.baopen.com. Please bring a valid ID to claim the prize. Prizes that are not claimed within 1 week after the tournament will be donated to the Cupertino Badminton Club. Prizes for the drawing is printed below:

Group 1 - entries from flight "A" & "B" : Yang-Yang Woven Ti 8.0 ( MSRP $149 )
Group 2 - entries from flight "C drop D" : Yang-Yang Woven Ti 4.0 ( MSRP $139 )

Prizes:         Trophies or medals will be awarded for first, second, and third place as well as for consolation winner.

Shuttles:     Two shuttlecocks will be provided to player(s) for each paid event during registration. (Double is considered as one event and the team/players will receive only 2 shuttlecocks, not 4)

For the same consideration, I hereby give Badminton Alley full photography, television and motion picture rights, including full power, permission and authority to take picture, film or video tape me during all matches, narrations, personal interviews, or comment thereon for any commercials, news or other purposes together with the right to transfer and to grant their rights to offers, all subject to no payment to me.
